FAQ'S
Does a new home require a permit?
Answer: Yes, any permanent structure requires a permit to be issued prior to building. (House, Pole Barn, ETC)
What are the minimum set backs for a new structure?
Answer: In the FR district the standard set backs require 200 feet of road frontage, 20 feet from each side parcel line, 30 feet from the rear parcel line, and 80 feet from the center of the roadway.
What is needed for a permit to be issued for a new home?
Answer: The four corners of the structure need to be staked, property lines marked, building plans available, and Septic Permit issued by the Perry County Health Department.
What if we can't meet the standard requirements?
Answer: If the minimum requirements cannot be met, the parcel owner may seek a variance through the Zoning Board of Appeals.
